Symptoms of panic disorder include rapid heartbeat, perspiration, dizziness, trembling, and uncontrollable fear.
The fear is based in the belief that the person will lose control or go crazy. Fear of dying and hyperventilation are also common symptoms.
Less common symptoms include sweating, sensation of choking, chest pain, nausea, hot flashes, and faintness. Panic disorder is severe and is noticeably episodic when compared with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
