Anxiety In Texas

How has the New Year begun since we last wrote you?

Your personal day-to-day economics are up? Productivity? Income? Great! The Market can’t seem to find its footing however. Gasoline & oil prices aren’t necessarily welcomed news for everyone.

Let’s get personal.  Let’s talk about anxiety.  We all have had it or will at some time in our lives.

Those of us who are now experiencing it don’t need to be lectured about its symptoms. They are no fun.

January is the quintessential month when we make our annual resolutions.  We vow to lose weight, exercise more, eat better, etc.  Important stuff. We all resolve to become better persons; happier persons.

But how?

Would we be happier if we were less anxious?  Some 40 million of us suffer from anxiety; that state of uneasiness and apprehension- the worrying about an event or situation.

How about trying proactivity?

Here are some natural proactive steps that can diminish those destructive reactive ones:

  1. Get enough sleep. Inconsistent sleep can have some serious consequences.
  2. SmileWhen work has got us down, it’s a good idea to take a quick break to get some giggles.
  3. De-clutter the brainPhysical clutter= mental clutter.
  4. Express gratitude. Start a gratitude journal to get in the mindset of appreciation, and out of the mindset of being overwhelmed.
